Will there be a water crisis in the UK?
Time & Location
About the Event
Water is essential for survival. Access to water is recognised by the UN as a basic human right, however water scarcity is growing to chronic levels.
In the UK, the Environment Agency's Chief Executive has warned that under existing policies, England may run out of freshwater within 25 years.
Whilst the mainstream focus has been on reducing personal water usage to tackle the looming water crisis, is this sufficient? Global water demand is expected to rise up to 30% by 2050 and has been described as “the next oil”, becoming an emerging area of geopolitical control.
What can the water sector, government and industry do to accelerate the development and implementation of sustainable policies to drive long-term water efficiency?
Join us as we investigate how a Dharmic approach can support this period of re-education and innovation around how industries use humanity's most precious resource.
